Hawaii wedding music

You’ve chosen a beautiful Hawaiian paradise as the location for your beach wedding.  All of the details are in place, from the beautiful hibiscus flowers to the incredible lava rock centerpieces.  The only thing you have left to choose is a disc jockey - the person who will set the tone for the party that celebrates your magical union.

Where do you begin?  This is Hawaii!  Are you going to end up with DJs that want to play Don Ho and Bruddah Iz?  Will they work with you to play a mix of your favorite songs, with perhaps a little traditional Hawaii thrown in?

Even if you were not going to Hawaii, you would want to come up with a list of questions for your DJ, as well as a list of songs you want them to play.  You want to know how many people will be working your wedding.  It’s okay if there is just one person, but even better if there are two people.  An extra person can do all of the emcee duties, and in many cases, the extra person will be on the dance floor, teaching some of the dance moves and encouraging your guests to get their boogie on. more at the Dj blog

DJ's are not only hip hopping at wedding for they have a life all their one
in the many clubs around the world inspiring young generations in new dances and rage
There is some energy for
DJ, you might call it "inspiration" that a producer feels in the process of making a track, in my case I can almost visualize the place or situation a track will be played when making it and how I would want the crowd to react, you hear this in Optical's tracks too -- certain subtle arrangement techniques that just make you "turn your head" subconsciously -- Optical does it with his "missing beat" pause that so many of his tracks have, it's like a half breath -- and that effects the dancers --as a DJ if you know the flow of the vinyl your playing you can create mixes around those bits thus elevating things further --that’s why it's so important DJs pay attention to how tracks enter and exit the mix -- actually which bars and stuff because it effects how the dancer hears the arrangement that some producers intentionally program. The DJ is in a sense a "channeler," they take energy from themselves, the records their playing and of course their audience and use their alchemy to enhance each and return it to the dancer.

DJ tip

Find out from your DJ company what happens if for some reason the DJ you are hiring becomes unavailable for your wedding.  It does occasionally happen that your DJ no longer works for the company or is unable to perform for various reasons.  Make sure you’ve gotten some feel for the back-up DJ, and you are comfortable in the knowledge that they will do a good job for you.

Be informed, and know what you are getting.  This is the best way to avoid wedding day disappointment.
